I'm RC Nelson — a video producer, editor, and creative technologist based in Detroit. I've spent the last decade behind the camera and in the edit bay, building a career on relentless output, cinematic quality, and the belief that great creative work doesn't need a committee. It needs vision, skill, and someone willing to do the work.
The Journey
I co-founded Boomin Filmz in 2019. We built it from the ground up, DMing every artist in our area, scanning websites for manager emails, building massive outreach lists, and showing up where the artists were to make connections in person. I shot events, shows, and anything that got us in the room. Within a few years we'd racked up over 700 million views across platforms, earned an RIAA Gold Record for “Step 1” by Sleazy World Go & Offset (Top 5 trending worldwide), and were shooting for labels like QC Music, Motown, Island, Universal, and Atlantic. Our work got featured on MTV, Hypebeast, and Lyrical Lemonade.
In 2023, I joined Spark as Senior Content Specialist. Now I'm producing hundreds of social media ads and lead generation campaigns for 50+ clients. Corporate content and scalable systems that actually drive results.
